LOCATION & TRAVEL

Location

Welcome to Puglia, the sun-soaked gem nestled in the heel of Italy's boot! Known for its beautiful Adriatic & Ionian Sea coastlines, unique southern charm, and ridiculously good food.

When we visited here last summer, we couldn’t help but want to experience this magical place again and share it with our closest family and friends. What a better opportunity to do just that, than to get married here! Puglia is a place where we felt most at ease, a place where we fell that much more in love, and a place that felt very much so like “us”.

When it came to to picking a venue, Masseria Amastuola was an easy decision. It is an 18th-century farmhouse located within the Crispiano area of Puglia (as noted on the map below). It has since been renovated as a top wine resort surrounded by vineyards, ancient olive trees, and dry-stone walls.

We cannot wait to make memories with all of you here.

Travelling from Canada

To our knowledge (this many change in the next year), there are no direct flights from Canada to airports in Puglia, Italy (Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport or Brindisi Airport). Travelers from Canada typically have to take connecting flights with layovers in major European hubs before reaching Puglia.

We would suggest exploring flights to Rome, and then looking for connecting flights to either Bari or Brindisi (~ 1 hour). Training in from Rome is also a fabulous option and our preferred method of getting to Puglia, as you'll be able to see the beautiful landscape along the way (~ 4/5 hours).

Once you arrive at either airport or train station, we strongly encourage that you rent a car to get you from Bari or Brindisi to Crispiano. We suggest that you organize yourselves into small groups for the car rental, so that it is a bit more cost efficient for you all. There is no Uber in Puglia and cabs are few and far between, so this will likely be the most convenient option, especially to explore the local towns*. Luckily, October is considered a "non-peak" time in Puglia, therefore all travel fares should be lower than average.

*Please note that the designated driver will need an international driver's license that can be arranged through CAA. The process is a breeze, however please ensure you do this ahead of time!

We acknowledge that having an International wedding is a massive ask, so if you need any help planning out your trip, please reach out to us directly and we'll be more than happy to help.
